A gigantic solar eruption has been captured in a Nasa time-lapse video which shows the huge rolling wave shooting out billions of particles from the Sun.
A coronal mass ejection (CME) erupted yesterday, in a gigantic rolling wave extending out from the Sun's surface.
CMEs can shoot over a billion tons of particles into space at over a million miles per hour.
The time-lapse video, taken in extreme ultraviolet light by Nasa's Solar Dynamics Observatory in space, was taken over about two and a half hours.
