Best Listening Practices: Our target volume is around -14db and -8db. This volume gives the viewer a wide range to tweak the volume on their end. It is meant to be loud enough that it can be used in a very loud environment, like an airplane or on the train, while also having enough depth that it can be very soothing and soft when someone wants to use it as white noise to sleep to.
Our personal listening preference is at medium volume. That would be setting YouTube to 50% volume and our computer to 50% volume while wearing over the ear headphones.
Long-term viewing or Looping: In order to appease the demigods that control YouTube analytics, it would seem shorter is better. However, we understand that some people want to listen to the same thing for longer. We recommend using the Loop feature built into YouTube.
Looping on Mobile: On most mobile devices, if you tap the video window you will bring up several buttons overlaid on the video. In the top right corner, there are three little dots in a vertical line. If you click those dots and select Loop Video, then the video will automatically restart when it finishes.
Looping on PC or Mac: Right click or Ctrl + Click on the video itself. This will bring up a menu of options. Click on loop and then the video will automatically restart when it finishes.

My name is Brian and along with my wife Margaret, we run Immersive Ambience and Emotive Ambience. Outside of these videos I run a small family travel company and am a hobbyist photographer. My wife, who oozes creativity, works as a licensed clinical psychologist.
We make these videos in the hopes that they will allow people to take a break from their daily lives. These videos are meant to be a tool that people can use for self-care and to help maintain their mental health. Some of the common uses for these types of videos would be anxiety relief, emotional regulation, stress relief, background noise for studying or work, white noise for sleeping, white noise for sleep training toddlers, babies, or infants.

This channel is designed to transport the viewer right into fantastical or historical locations. We focus only on natural sounds that would be heard in those scenes. The point is to do just what the name says, immerse the viewer in the scene we are depicting, using both natural sounds and visuals.

This channel focuses less on places and more on experiences. Specifically, the emotions we feel during those experiences. To accomplish this, we use a mixture of natural sounds and music. Every video is designed to give off a certain emotional context.
