Is Kanye West running for president as a joke? The 43-year-old rapper recently registered to vote for the first time in his life, and announced that he would be running under a new political party he’s formed, called The Birthday Party, “because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday,” he explained. West also announced his running mate: a 57-year-old woman named Michelle Tidball, from Cody, Wyoming, where Kanye and Kim Kardashian own a ranch.
