I've always loved this song, so I finally learned it. I recorded it in the garden on Sunday July 28, and the sun disappeared right after the first take, so I went with the first take, warts n all. I hope you likey :)
"Julia" is credited as being written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney, but according to the interwebs, John wrote it for his mother Julia who was killed when John was 17 by a car being driven by a drunk off-duty police officer.
He had inspiration for the song from Donovan and Kahlil Gibran. Reading this reminded me how inspired I felt pulling from all kinds of inspiration for my "May Melody a Day" mission in May 2018. Maybe it's time I did another one! Stay tuned on my Patreon page: [ Ссылка ]

LYRICS:
Half of what I say is meaningless
But I say it just to reach you, Julia
Julia, Julia, ocean child, calls me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
Julia, seashell eyes, windy smile, calls me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
Her hair of floating sky is shimmering, glimmering
In the sun
Julia, Julia, morning moon, touch me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
When I cannot sing my heart
I can only speak my mind, Julia
Julia, sleeping sand, silent cloud, touch me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
Hum, hum, hum, calls me
So I sing a song of love, Julia, Julia, Julia
