Zell am Ziller - Sports, Après Ski, and Relaxation!

The Ziller Valley - or as it’s otherwise known, the ‘’most energetic valley in the world’’ - is in the heart of Tyrol, bordered to the south by the Zillertaler Alps directly at the border of South Tyrol.

The holiday resort Zell is in the heart of the Ziller Valley mountain landscape, in the bend toward the Gerlos Valley. Arrival into the relatively flat valley is easy and comfortable via the Inntalautobahn, even with lots of snow.

Modern lifts bring you as high as 2,500 m. The primarily red pistes of the Rohrberg are mostly above the tree-line.

From Zell, you also have access to Gerlos. This region was awarded the Tyrolean Snowboard Seal of Approval, and counts itself among the top three snowboard resorts in Austria. Start out on the far-reaching slopes in the Ziller Valley and enjoy the high Alpine mountain region!

You can already feel the Ziller Valley’s perfect après ski atmosphere turning in at midday. If you so please, you can get the party started right there on the slopes.

With the Ziller Valley SuperSki lift pass, you have your choice between the ski areas of the Ziller, Gerlos, and Tux Valleys - with a total of over 600 km of pistes! Numerous free-ride areas and snow parks round out this top offer.

The fun park in Gerlos, re-done in 2007, is located in direct proximity to the Vorkogel tow-lift. The park area is laid out for the time being on one half, in the upper part of the piste.

To end a perfect day on the piste, you’ll be welcomed by two bars directly at the valley station in Zell. Here, you can toast the successful day of skiing with a beer or two (or a few).
