This game is bad, but it's fun.
**Note on Slope Boosting**
It doesn't have anything to do with you being in a ledge, but rather the ledge is curved so the jump extension zone-plane-thing is converted into a RAMP jump extension zone, and those specific types of jump extensions are what allow you to stack jumps together, not the jump itself being a single jump. It's how id implemented ramp jumping; if you're on a ramp, then add your current vertical speed to the jump speed and boom. As an example, normal scroll/macro jumping on flat surfaces still reset your speed on single jumps, because that jump extension zone isn't a ramp jump extension zone, it's a flat one. Only when the zone is designated as the jump extension zone of a ramp will it add the slayer's current vertical speed. There are a lot of slopeboosts that are simply on things like stairs rather than off ledges, and those work on the same principle; the jump extension zone is designated as a ramp, and so stacks speed vertically with every input.
The above description was just more nuance than I wanted for this video so there is the in-depth explanation for nerds.
