MiniTak is the first battery-less laser tachometer. It is the combination of a miniature laser sensor and a free iPhone app. The size and weight of MiniTak make it truly a pocket tachometer.

Using MiniTak to measure RPM is simple. Just attach the reflective tape to the testing machine, insert the MiniTak sensor into headphone jack, run the MiniTak app, tap and hold on the screen to turn on laser beam and point the laser towards the running machine. The app shows reading in RPM or Hz.


After laser RPM test, the result can be easily verified by the built-in strobe light feature of the app. Tap the STROBE button and the iPhone flashes with the measured RPM, which makes the rotor appearing stationary.

MiniTak is versatile. It can also be used as a battery-less laser pointer for presentation or other applications.
