For today's walk we travel down Shoreditch High Street in its entirety. We travel from south to north starting at the end of Norton Folgate and finishing just before Kingsland Road.
Shoreditch High Street is famous for its street art, as you will see from the graffiti on the walls. It is a trendy location for nightlife as it represents a cheaper alternative to premium areas of London such as the West End.
At 7:47 we see St Leonard's Church. This was built in the 18th century and is referenced in the nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons: "When will you pay me? Say the bells at Old Bailey. When I grow rich, Say the bells at Shoreditch."
