In today's video, you will see me attempt to max out the distance of my Mavic Pro 2 on European CE frequency. I was able to achieve a remarkable 8,007 meters or 5 miles in distance still with air picture and control of the drone. If the drone operated on CE alone I don't think it would have made it more than 5-6 kilometers out but thanks to the improved OccuSync 2.0 technology from DJI, I was able to maintain control and air picture while at adequate altitude to maintain LOS with no issues at all. To achieve this mission with success I had planned to land 4-4.5 miles away with a spotter because I did not think the drone would have had enough battery to come all the way back ( and I still don't ). While this idea worked in the end, it was a learning experience as you will see. Always plan ahead and adjust settings for your flight accordingly!
