This is a vlog-style video about the basic ideas around permaculture. I made this a year and a half before deciding to publicize it, so it is older and a bit different from my usual kinds of videos. Hopefully you enjoy it.
Also, I made this before I developed the awareness to mention indigenous land management, and how it mirrors much of what we call permaculture. Not only specific practices, but the entire approach of managing land holistically, has been practiced by indigenous cultures for thousands of years. The word 'permaculture' and its principles and terms, that were coined by Mollison and Holmgren, is a particular way to articulate this approach. But the approach itself was not invented by a couple of white guys, but has a long history, and was disrupted violently by white colonies and empires.
