You can cross it via car, bike, or walk as a pedestrian. It's a popular thing to do as a tourist or someone who just moved to the city. From the Brooklyn Bridge you can see an expansive view of the New York skyline: the One World Tower, The Edge at Hudson Yards, Empire State Building, The Summit at One Vanderbilt, and the Chrysler Building.
