[ Ссылка ] Our Insta360 One X review! This 360 degree camera is great for drone like videos, cool angles, creating multiple shots from the same footage, and weird effects. We haven't tried the Gopro Fusion camera yet, but generally most comparison reviews agree the user-friendly nature of the compact Insta360 make it a better camera for the everyday user, while the Gopro may have the edge for more professional use. So this is our full Insta360 One X review, along with some filming tips, from our recent tour of Vietnam. We still love this camera. It's been brilliant for all those shots that are too difficult for normal action cams. From a motorbike perspective, the compact size and light weight are perfect. It's surprising how much wind resistance you get at speed, and the Insta360 is much smaller than the Gopro Fusion. It's still being sold but remember the new Insta360 One R is out and will slowly take over. This Insta360 One X review builds on our first impressions video for the Insta360 One X. Our summary back then? A great camera. It's very compact, light, has brilliant stabilisation and the editing software is extremely easy to use. If you use selfie sticks or poles, this feather weight Insta360 One X camera is far less likely to bend poles or shake. Remember the Insta360 One R is out now too. What don't we like? The two lenses appear to lack a toughened covering are very easy to scratch. Our camera just touched the ground and already one lens now has scratches. A few aftermarket lens covers have appeared but reports to date say they distort the video. You can buy this protective case from Insta360 for the Insta360 One X but then of course the audio suffers badly. So be very careful and look after those lenses. If there is no wind the audio is quite acceptable. But even a light wind affects it badly, and the wind reduction available in the editing software does little to help. We tried sticky tape over the mikes, foam with rubber bands, it didn't make much difference. For wind affected footage we have just been adding motorbike audio from other clips. The tiny screen is hard to read. This is the down side of having such a small light camera of course. However the menu is very user friendly. Once you learn it you can access all the basic settings without even looking at the screen. Read the Insta360 forum and you read about issues with earlier Insta360 One X cameras which are fixed with firmware updates. Insta360 appear to be similar to Gopro in possibly bringing out models before fully tested. Nothing new there. Our camera was a later one and it has been flawless so far. I wonder how the Insta360 One R will go... Okay, a few filming options that are useful for motorbike riders. The Insta360 One X comes with a very high quality extendable selfie stick. When travelling I opt for this cheap one from Ebay as it's even lighter. If you are like me and stupid enough to ride with this in your hand, you get great shots of yourself or other riders. You can stay focused on the road and swivel the Insta360 One X camera angle when video editing to follow other riders. If you are more sensible, you can use this alloy bracket from Insta360's motorbike accessories to keep both hands on the bars. In the editing software, you can zoom in and out, or swivel in any direction. And even better, you can choose multiple angles with the Insta360 One X to get a pile of different videos from just the one source video. And now the three metre selfie stick. This has been my favourite accessory as you can get drone like footage both on and off the bike. If you have a pillion passenger willing to film you can get some very interesting shots. And again, if you are massively stupid like me you can try riding with it yourself. The Insta360 One X is so light that managing a three metre pole is quite easy. I'm not sure how the heavier and larger Gopro Fusion would handle this. Vietnam probably has no laws about riding with big selfie sticks, I certainly wouldn't try this at home. Or would I? Heaps of viewers have asked me if they should buy a Insta360 One X instead of a Gopro action cam. No. It does not replace a good action cam. But if you have one already, a 360 camera is a great way to add spice to your existing footage. Which brings me to the final point. Now there's the latest model, the Insta360 One R. The modular design means it can be used either as a normal action cam, or a 360 cam. Could this be the dream camera for motorbike riders? Maybe. I'm trying to find honest reviews about this and will buy the Insta360 One R if the media hype appears to be accurate. Stay tuned.
