Mohamed Mansour was born to prominent family in Egypt. His father is Cambridge University educated and owns a large and prosperous cotton business. He attended North Carolina State University and almost flunked out. He blamed it on too much partying. Nevertheless, he graudated with an engineering degree at age 19 in 1968. In 1971, he earned an MBA from Auburn University. In 1964, his father lost his entire fortune when then Egypt President Nasser nationalized his cotton business. In 1973, he returned to Egypt. In 1975, he started his first business, which was a General Motors distribution dealership. Since 1976, he has been leading Mansour Group after his father's death in 1975. Today Mansour Group is the most successful conglomerate in Egypt and in the Arab world. He runs the business with his two other brothers, and the three brothers all became billionaires. In 2022, he is 74 year old and has a net worth of $2.5 Billion. The secret of his success is resiliency.
