David Ben-Gurion: Israel's Firm and Visionary Founding Father
David Ben-Gurion was born in Płońsk, Poland, in 1886. Since childhood, he dreamed of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine. These ideals became stronger after he witnessed the cruelty of anti-Semitism in Eastern Europe.
In 1906, Ben-Gurion moved to Palestine. There, he joined the Zionist movement and became one of its leaders. He was also active in socialist and labor organizations.
