(21 Jul 2019) Officials in Ukraine starting counting ballot papers on Sunday after polls closed in the country's snap parliamentary election.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's party was set to win the biggest share of votes, according to an exit poll, on Sunday, but it was unclear if it would secure a solid majority.
The poll of 13,000 voters showed Zelenskiy's Servant of the People party getting 43.9 per cent of the vote for party-list candidates, far ahead of rivals.
But 199 of the 424 seats being filled were for single constituencies, which the poll didn't assess.
