Part Vlog, Part DIY, all me. Oh, and a bunch of incredibly helpful friends.
What to expect from ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
You’re going to be following me, interior designer Christina Salway, as I tackle the many exciting, often challenging, projects that I’m juggling with my family. Room For Improvement is going to get personal— you’re going to follow along as I, one hardworking mother, and my incredibly supportive group of friends and family work together to make our collective dreams into reality— learning from each other, supporting each other, inspiring each other, and reminding one another, ever so nicely, that there will be highs, there will be lows, and there will always be Room For Improvement.
Who is Christina?
Christina Salway is our Interior Design Expert. She has owned a successful interior design firm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn since 2006. In addition to running her company, she’s also the on-camera and behind-the-scenes interior designer for the television show Treehouse Masters. Her personal design work has been featured on numerous occasions in the New York Times, Country Living, GQ, the Boston Globe, Better Homes & Gardens, and New York Magazine. Her other television work includes NBC’s American Dream Builders and The Nate Berkus Show. Christina has also renovated three “fixer-uppers” with her own bare hands, so she understands the complexities of construction, the benefits of completing projects yourself, and the importance of keeping a tight budget. She currently lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with her husband John and their son Jules.
