With the hope that music festivals and concerts can start again over the coming weeks and months, the music industry is now emerging from lockdown into a post-Brexit world and facing the reality of its lack of support under the UK’s Withdrawal Agreement with the EU.
During this event, we are discussing:
• how the UK’s immigration system operates for creative persons and in particular for the music industry;
• the immigration system’s shortcomings; and
• the hopes for change to the law.
Hear from Tom Kiehl from UK Music (an industry-funded body which represents the British music industry) about the issues facing its members as they seek to recover following an exceptionally difficult period and from Harriet Harman MP who has been very active in developing policies to support British musicians, will provide insights into her proposals for improving the post-Brexit regulatory landscape for the music industry.
