We're taking over the Theatre at the Ace Hotel with three performances of Jordan Peele's Academy Award-winning film, "Get Out," with live musical accompaniment Oct 29-31. Michael Abels, the film's composer, conducts the LA Opera Orchestra and the DC6 Singers through his genre-bending, original gospel-horror score for the sweetest (and spookiest) Halloween treat.

Ahead of these highly-anticipated performances, we spoke to Michael about what it was like to pioneer a new musical genre, working with Jordan Peele and the DC6 Singers, and what makes this film so special.
