Hi Everyone! After popular demand we purchased some AIO solutions to fight with the Noctua NH-D15 and see how the liquid coolers handle the 10th generation i9. We got an i9-10900KF and installed it on a ASUS Z490 ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI) motherboard and cooled it with a 360 AIO cooler from ASUS, the ROG STRIX LC 360.
For the past days we ran a series of tests on the PC and we are preparing a review for you soon, but we wanted to put together this video to talk to you about the overclocking capabilities of this notorious HOT CPU.
We did a video a while ago where we showcased how the Noctua NH D15 chromax.black handles the i9-10900k in Cinebench, and it went up to 5.3 GHz with no issues.

► CPU: Intel Core i9-10900KF
► CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360
► Motherboard: ASUS Z490 ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI)
► RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 128GB, DDR4-3200MHz, CL16
► GPU: PNY GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XLR8 Overclocked
► SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series, 500GB, PCI Express x4, M.2
► HDD: Seagate Skyhawk 2TB
► Case: Deepcool Matrexx 55 V3 ADD-RGB
► PSU: Segotep GP1250G, 1150W
► Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64
We tested the CPU at stock frequency and 3 OC phases: 4.9 GHz, 5.0 GHz and 5.1 GHz. We recorded the videos with OBS running on the same system, so the temps are 4-5 degrees higher and scores are a bit lower. We also added a video running the tests at 5.1 GHz with nothing on except the benchmark.

3:20 i9-10900k at 4.9 GHz on all cores. Temperatures go up to 86 degrees in Cinebench R20.
4:25 i9-10900k at 5.0 GHz on all cores. Temperatures go up to 93 degrees in Cinebench R15.
5:20 i9-10900k at 5.0 GHz on all cores. Temperatures go up to 99 degrees in Cinebench R20.
6:30 i9-10900k at 5.1 GHz on all cores. Temperatures go up to 100 degrees in Cinebench R15.
Risks of damaging the CPU are too high now and we had to stop.
