I tested the Canon 1.4x Extender Lens like any camera geek should. We find out when it's a good idea and when it's not such a good idea to use one of these Canon teleconverters.
I was hoping to photograph birds in flight and distant wildlife, so I designed a simple, but scientific way to test the difference between using this tele-converter along with a telephoto lens and not using it, but getting closer by cropping the photo afterwards.
