The Micro can be configured in many of the traditional dipole configurations e.g. sloping, vertical, horizontal, ... but also supported by just about any structure you can imagine. Where the Micro starts to get cool is when you add the accessories that go along with this antenna.
One of these accessories is the Cha MIL Whip. The Cha MIL Whip is a military man-pack style collapsible whip antenna which fits seamlessly onto the Micro. Using a jaw clamp style mount or tripod, the Micro is transformed into a self supporting Verticle antenna system which can be mounted on a tripod, on a parked vehicle, on a bicycle, bench, banister or railing. It can be mounted on a balcony or any number of other places, to provide you with efficient HF-50 Mhz comms.
The Cha MIL can also be used standalone (without the Micro) for 10m and 6m comms, in all the same configurations I mentioned earlier. This is useful for the technical class operator who wants to maximize his and hers 50Mhz capabilities for over the horizon comms.
The Micro and MIL Whip can also be used with another accessory. This is called the MIL EXT. The MIL EXT is a performance upgrade for the MIL Whip, improving efficiency of this self-supporting vertical antenna system on HF.
The Cha Micro with or without MIL Whip or MIL EXT can be configured and deployed for effective NVIS communications enabling short range tactical communications on HF.
Here are a few of the possible deployment configurations
