The Digital Learning Strategy was developed to support the B.C. post-secondary system’s use of digital technologies in the delivery of post-secondary education and training.
Work is currently underway to implement the Strategy. Initial proposed initiatives relate to digital literacy, professional development related to technology-enhanced learning, shared educational resources and technology, and initiatives to support reduced costs associated with digital learning for institutions and learners. These initiatives are intended to:
- Enhance the post-secondary system’s capacity to deliver high-quality technology-enhanced learning opportunities across all delivery modalities;
- Improve access to post-secondary education for learners who encounter barriers to accessing in-person learning;
- Foster collaboration in the post-secondary system to reduce costs related to digital technologies; and
- Build digital learning capacity and capability and enhance digital equity amongst learners and across the post-secondary system.
Ben Ferrel will provide a brief overview of the Digital Learning Strategy’s development and implementation and be available to answer questions from the audience.
