Why does cement self-leveling crack?
Self-leveling is a ground construction technology that has the functions of leveling, moisture-proof, and antibacterial. However, some friends have found that cement self-leveling will crack after construction. What is the original meat?
1. The cracking caused by the problem of the base is mainly due to the severe sanding on the ground, the strength of the base is not high, the base is cracked, and after the hollowing occurs, cracks are generated after heavy pressure. 2. The cement self-leveling is added too much water during the construction, and the base is not cleaned. Improper use of the interface agent will cause the surface to lose water too quickly, resulting in dry shrinkage cracks, rapid loss of water, insufficient cement hydration reaction, and surface pulverization; improper maintenance in the later stage will also cause drumming and cracking
3. The greater the construction thickness, the greater the cumulative pressure, and the greater the risk of drum cracking. However, the general construction thickness is within 5.0mm. The internal stress caused by this expansion and contraction is not enough to cause direct drumming, but some self-leveling cement thicknesses If it exceeds 5.0mm, there is a risk of bulging, which is caused by self-leveling shrinkage and expansion
4. The cement self-leveling formula is unreasonable, and the bonding force between the hardened mortar and the base layer is not strong, resulting in cracking and shelling.
The selected self-leveling cement has quality problems. The volume of the hydration product produced during the hydration process changes, shrinks, and forms shrinkage stress, resulting in cracking.
