On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: History was made when former President Donald Trump was arrested and booked with secret service agents still at his side today. Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation, Zack Smith, joins to take us through what happened with Trump's indictment and arrest from a legal perspective. Meanwhile, the fight over the Defense Department's new abortion policy is heating up. The Pentagon is allowing troops to use US taxpayer dollars for abortion related travel expenses. Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville is holding up military nominations until the DOD changes its policy. And, there are concerns for the faithful in Europe, where persecution and intolerance against Christians is now becoming more common. EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief, Andreas Thonhauser, recently spoke with the head of an organization that tracks and fights back against discrimination of Christians in Europe, Dr. Martin Kugler. Finally this evening, in a recent statement, the USCCB raised the alarm over new burial methods like human composting, saying they do not show respect for the human body and fall short of the respect for the dead required by the Catholic faith. CEO and founder of the Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services, Robert Seelig, joins to tell us what some of these newer burial methods are and how popular they are becoming.
