This is part 2 of this unboxing of the Tarot of the Toiling Hands, featuring the Minor Arcana, plus some shots of the sheets that came with the deck.
I came across this deck randomly one day on Instagram... and immediately looked them up and bought them from Esme over Etsy. It's not often I buy tarot on a whim, but this deck was calling to me. Loudly.
The story behind this is that Esme Baker owns a tattoo parlor in the UK, and when the pandemic shut her studio down for a year, her little studio was under threat of being closed down for ever.
She took up this tarot project with the idea that if they could presell enough decks, they could somehow keep their shop afloat during all the shutdowns.
It feels like an absolute honour to own one of these decks.
In my unboxing video, it's purposely a little imperfect. Fingers or thumbs over images, images not wholly in the shot, because it's important to me that the original artist doesn't somehow get their images stolen due to my video that's just trying to show off the artists amazing work.
I'm not even sure I'll use these accept maybe for myself or on video zoom tarot readings, as I don't want to ruin them in any way! I don't think it's practical for me to try to sleeve them all AND work with them, but we'll see what happens. I most likely will use them eventually in a daily draw on my IG and Facebook page.
