Trey Knight discusses the advantages of the SR15 platform available from Knight's Armament Co. Each weapon features KAC's URX rail system, Ambidextrous Controls, 2-Stage Match Trigger, Hammer Forged Barrel, and E3 Enhanced Bolt. The two SBR (short barrel rifle) Models are available as 11.5" and 14.5" variations with SBR marked lowers, and the 14.5" SBR Carbine featuring a Ball Mill Lightened Barrel. The 16" models are the standard carbine models with the 18" LPR variation featuring a stainless steel Kreiger barrel. This platform is based around the proprietary E3 Enhanced Bolt which features a number of components designed to make this bolt the most durable and reliable bolt available. The E3 Bolt boasts several features that add to the its overall performance such as the enlarged bolt face, rounded lugs, reduced cam pin, and proprietary extractor and firing pin designs, making it the most reliable and durable bolt available.
