Actor Courteney Cox was joined by her Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow on Monday to celebrate the unveiling of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Cox, 58, played Monica Geller for 10 seasons of the hit comedy series, which came to an end in 2004. The story of six 20-somethings in New York, was one of the most popular TV shows of the 1990s and found a new life on streaming platforms where it is one of the most watched shows worldwide.
"This is really surreal because I'm from Birmingham, Alabama, and the only time that you see your name on a sidewalk is if you did it yourself with a stick in the wet cement," Cox joked at the ceremony.
"I have to say, I really believe that it was that and Courtney doing that that really set us up to become one of the closest, most loving and supportive casts in I'll say the history of television," said Kudrow.
"Thank you for enriching our lives with your work," Aniston said, standing at the podium with Kudrow. "We are so proud of you. We love you, your sisters from another mister, and we love you."
Cox's star is the 2,750th on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and just a few feet from Aniston's. Both stars are in the category of television.
