The Hong Island tour is an extremely popular day trip from Krabi, Phang Nga and Phuket. It's a stunningly beautiful island with the crystal clear, turquoise Hong Lagoon and an amazing beach.

It does get very busy, however, so we went early in the morning on a private boat to beat the crowds. Was it worth it?

We are now traveling Thailand pregnant, so that is bringing its own challenges and this trip was maybe a step too far!

We left from Tubkaek beach in Krabi and it cost us 1800 baht (£43) for the boat.
