Watercolor Techniques: How to paint a Black Background and add Shadows 🖤 🖤 in this video I paint Magnolia Flowers while sharing some techniques to include using masking paper and creating a black background using rich, saturated, transparent color to suggest deep shadows. I also demonstrate how to pull using an angle shader paint brush from this background to create light and shadow effects. This is a wonderful way to create a deep background without having to paint multiple glazes.
