In response to last years poor rail adhesion on the Piccadilly line which caused several 1973 stocks to be taken out of service due to wheel defects, London Underground converted two 3 car 1973 stock to be carry sandite equipment in order to improve rail adhesion and thus prevent so many trains being damaged during the leaf fall season. In this clip we see one of the 3 car 1973 Stocks arriving into Hatton Cross from Northfields where it will turn around and head back towards Northfields, it runs under the train number 730.
