Hi, we’re Landon and Kenz! This is part 1 of our trip to Copenhagen, Denmark. We boarded our plane to leave Ivalo, Finland, flew to Helsinki, and then flew to Copenhagen to meet Kenz’s friend, Maria. They met when Maria was a foreign exchange student in Alabama over a decade ago and have kept in touch ever since. After we arrived in Copenhagen, we grabbed some food at the grocery store and headed to Maria and her boyfriend Frederik’s house where they cooked dinner for us. We just hung out and caught up on life that night. The next morning, we headed for Nyhavn Harbor—one of the most iconic places in Denmark! We took a guided boat tour here, which is definitely the best way to tour the city. We recommend doing this on your visit if you want to see all the sites and hear about the history. After the boat tour, we strolled through Copenhagen, ate some amazing food, and shopped around. We came across more Christmas markets which you know made Kenz happy. We climbed the winding path up to the top of The Round Tower aka Rundetårn which overlooked the city. We ended our night playing a competitive round of mini golf.
