With no prospect of a physical meet-ups and having never collaborated virtually before, the Digital Maker Collective (DMC) who normally held physical meet-ups in Camberwell, London needed to find a more creative virtual space to meet.
This video describes the journey the DMC took into the 3D web, WebXR and the wider Immersive web.
Part 1/3 of a conversation between Chris Follows, Emerging Technologies Manager at University of the Arts London (UAL) & Kelsi Fairbairn, BA Illustration at Camberwell College of the Arts. Kelsi is writing a dissertation titled 'The future of the Art Gallery'.
Chris also introduces the work of the Digital Maker Collective (DMC) a voluntary, informal R&D group made up of UAL staff, students, alumni who share common goals in exploring digital & emerging technologies in the context of arts practice, education, society and the creative industries.
