This exercise is used to restore knee extension and can be prescribed for a number of knee conditions or pain.
In this example, I am treating my left knee.
While sitting on the edge of a chair, extend your leg so your heel is in contact with the floor and your leg is straight.
Using your hand(s), push down on your leg, just above your knee, in a direction perpendicular to your leg.
Hold for 1 second, release, and repeat.
After finishing your repetition, move your leg back and forth a few times before standing.
Recommended parameters: 10 repetitions throughout day, ideally every 2-3hours (unless recommended otherwise)
