Dr Maitama Sule, ex-minister, elder statesman and the Dan Masanin Kano, was buried in Kano in the presence of dignitaries and thousands of sympathizers on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Maitama Sule died in the early hours of Monday in Cairo, Egypt, shortly after he arrived the country for treatment.

Dozens of sympathizers flooded the funeral of Maitama Sule which held in Kano State.

Dignitaries at the burial of Maitama Sule, include Malam Abba Kyari, who represented President Muhamadu Buhari was in attendance.

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Governor Hafiz Abubakar and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II attended the funeral of Maitama Sule in Kano.
