Collins Classics is pleased to present Maurice Murphy's performance of 'The Prince of Denmark's March' composed by Jeremiah Clarke.
'The Prince of Denmark's March' (Danish: Prins Jørgens March), commonly called the 'Trumpet Voluntary', was composed by English baroque composer Jeremiah Clarke. For many years the piece was attributed incorrectly to Clarke's elder and more widely known contemporary Henry Purcell.
The piece was also performed at the royal wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana on Wednesday 29th July 1981 at St Paul's Cathedral in London.
