The 6th meeting of the Durban Forum was guided by the following objectives:
* To provide important takeaways for developing countries on how to better design and develop adaptation interventions and to increase access to finance
* To share with support providers, the capacity-building needs and gaps identified by developing countries in designing and implementing adaptation projects and programmes in the context of NAPs and NDCs
* To facilitate in-depth dialogue on what different Parties and non-Party stakeholders can do to enhance the capacities of developing countries to implement adaptation measures
* To inform other relevant processes and meetings of the constituted bodies of the Convention, such as the 2017-2018 long-term climate finance (LTF) in-session workshops and the PCCB meetings, of the outcomes and lessons learned of the Forum
