"Put it this way: the second that Vice President Aliabadi attended the football game in Nuremburg, that was the point at which time football wasn't just a sport anymore, by which point it become a political issue. So for us to be sending a message at this time I think it's very important. Have fun, enjoy the game, we're not protesting against the Iranian football team, we're not protesting against the Iranian people, but we're sending a clear message that even at a time of enjoyment like this you need to be aware of the threat that's being posed by the Iranian regime."

STORYLINE:
More than 700 people gathered in Frankfurt, Germany on Saturday to protest against the Iranian President's denial of the Holocaust as Iran's football team played its second match of the FIFA World Cup.
Demonstrators waved Israeli, Iranian and US flags at the rally outside the Alt Oper opera house in Germany's financial capital.
Some held up signs reading "Support Israel Now!" and "Israel Is On The Map To Stay."
They were joined by a small group of Iranian dissidents waving their country's flags.
On Friday Ahmadinejad said evidence of the Holocaust widely accepted in Europe could not be trusted.
Speaking during a visit to China, he said that "an event that has influenced so many diplomatic and political equations of the world needs to investigated and researched by impartial and independent groups."
In previous remarks, Ahmadinejad has dismissed the Holocaust as a "myth" and said Israel should be "wiped off the map."
Police said there were no incidents at the demonstration on Saturday.
Germany's interior minister, Wolfgang Schaeuble, has said that his country would have to accept a visit by Ahmadinejad if he decided to visit his country's World Cup team.
Ahmadinejad has not announced any firm plans to attend.
Germany's Central Council of Jews has said the presence at the tournament of one of Ahmadinejad's seven vice presidents, Mohammed Aliabadi, already is a provocation.
An estimated 1,200 people, many of them German Jews, demonstrated against Ahmadinejad before Iran's loss to Mexico in its opening World Cup game in Nuremberg last Sunday.
Iran will play its last Group D match against Angola in Leipzig on Wednesday 21 June.
