Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi along with his deputies, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni, and PPCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu and other leaders paid obeisance at the Golden Temple early morning around 4.30 am.
They participated in the morning ritual of departure of Sri Guru Granth Sahib from the Akal Takht to the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Golden Temple where saroop is enshrined, as per the Sikh Rehat maryada.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
