This is my first video of the full Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin at Disneyland. Based on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, this is a really fun dark ride where we follow the adventures of Roger Rabbit as he tries to escape the weasels and the toxic substance called Dip, which kills toons upon contact. It is part of Mickey's Toontown, which opened beyond Fantasyland in Jan 1993. However, this ride did not open until Jan 1994. Apparently, this was done so Disneyland could have new things to promote in 1993 and 1994. This is my personal favorite attraction in Toontown. Though not perfect, it does a fantastic job capturing the colorful world of Roger Rabbit's Toontown though stylized blacklight visuals. The vehicles are Lenny the Cab, who is the twin cousin of Benny the Cab from the film. These vehicles have the unique ability to spin around like the Mad Tea Party, but in a much more elaborate dark ride format. The Imagineers did a nice job building sets on all sides to accommodate the vehicles. This is a really great unique aspect that makes the attraction better. Jessica Rabbit also makes a few appearances. In 2021, they did what I consider a very unnecessary and stupid piece of censorship by taking away Jessica's former sparkly dress and replacing it with an ugly yellow detective coat. I don't think anyone ever asked for or wanted that. But on a better note, when Toontown was reopened in 2023, they did fix up the lighting to be more vibrant than in a long time, which is great. It begins in the seedy side of Toontown where Roger and Lenny are escaping Weasels. Then we enter the China shop where we see the Bull, before going into Spin St. Then we head into the dangerous Power House, then inside a machine where Roger is electrocuted, before an explosion and blackout. Then Roger falls down a city past many skyscrapers all around us, and looking across we see a concerned Moon. Then we help Roger escape the Gag Factory and the weasels. Many weasels are seen here, as well as clowns, Jessica hammering them, and a pink elephant. Just when all seems lost, Roger saves the day with a portable hole, a really impressive effect that still confuses me. Then it's over. This is a great dark ride and I am really glad that I finally have a video of it. I hope you enjoy it!
I do not own any of the music used in this video. All music rights go to Disney & Amblin, and the video is filmed by me. You can use this in your content if you wish, and credit would be very appreciated.
