On the structure of the retina: layers, bipolar, horizontal, and amacrine cells; retinal ganglion cells and their types, center-surround and lateral inhibition, on and off ganglion cells (including another surprise left by evolution), contrast sensitivity, motion sensitivity and directional sensitivity, and just a tiny nod in the direction of philosophy of math.
Errata: Andromeda galaxy is not as luminant as Venus; Venus is 1000 times brighter :\ I read Wikipedia wrong, and it pretty much invalidates the point. I'll have edit this sequence out from the next version of this lecture.
