Joint locks in Tai Chi, Hsing-I and Bagua can be very effective in a self-defense situation, and are often called chinna or qinna. Joint locks can be an effective way to stop an attacker without seriously injuring them, but they can also be used to break an opponent quickly. In this video, Sifu Ken Gullette teaches Tom Revie some joint locks from Tai Chi, Bagua, and Hsing-I. More information, DVDs and video are available at Ken's website -- www.kungfu4u.com. His blog is at www.internalarts.typepad.com. Ken also has an internal arts instructional website. Try two weeks free at www.internalfightingarts.com.
