Dennis Maki, MD, presents a talk about the rising rates of infectious diseases transmitted by ticks. Dr. Maki is Emeritus Professor in the Division of Infectious Disease in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine. He holds the Ovid O. Meyer Professor of Medicine endowed position. His research interests over the past three decades have included the study and prevention of nosocomial infections, the clinical application of novel agents for the treatment of septic shock, and the epidemiology and prevention of infections caused by antimicrobial resistant pathogens. The title of his October 12, 2018 Grand Rounds talk is "The Growing Global Threat of Tick-Borne Disease."
