Mulch is so important! Mulching in the spring and fall can be a life saver for your plants. It keeps weeds at bay, holds moisture in the soil so you don't need to water as often, and slows erosion. Mulch can come in many forms from bark chips, pine needles, ground covering plants, or arborist wood chips. My first choice is always living ground cover plants, but while you are waiting for them to fill out in the garden, I recommend using arborist wood chips. Watch the video to find out why!
