Pamulang is a subdistrict in South Tangerang City. Before South Tangerang City became an autonomous city in November 2008, Pamulang was one of the subdistricts in Tangerang Regency. Pamulang is located in the southern part of South Tangerang City, Banten Province, Indonesia. After the division into an autonomous city, Pamulang remained one of the subdistricts within the administrative area of South Tangerang City. The Pamulang subdistrict has a land area of approximately 31.86 km² and is divided into several kelurahan (administrative villages), including Pamulang Barat, Pamulang Timur, Bambu Apus, and Jatiwaringin.
The origin of the name Pamulang comes from the Sundanese language, which means "a place to return/rest." In the past, this area served as a settlement for Dutch troops fighting in Batavia (now Jakarta). The name reflects that Pamulang was a comfortable place and a place to return or rest for them after battles. Over time, Pamulang has developed into a subdistrict that plays an important role within the administrative region of South Tangerang City.
In this video, I want to share my experience of riding a motorcycle from Pamulang, South Tangerang to Salemba. The journey took approximately 1 hour, covering a distance of around 37 kilometers. Watch and enjoy this video. Thank you!
