Planck is a 40% ortholinear board, this switch testing was on the plateless build. The switches were mounted directly onto the PCB itself.
Featuring my wife's hands! She willingly agreed to let her hands be presented in this keyboard fashion.
Polar Pandas are one half of a Holy Panda switch. Panda switches are known for very tight housing, but otherwise, they are really scratchy and weird feeling linear switches. They do not sound nice, they do not feel nice.
You will need a Halo True or Halo Clear Stem, in order to make them a Holy Panda switch. The Halo switches can only be purchased from Drop. They are a pretty decent tactile switch, or so I have been told. My order for Halo switches have yet to arrive, but I will definitely do a review of it soon.
Switch Geek revelation moment: I learnt that the Holy Panda takes the Halo stem, but maintains the Panda Housing and spring. You can make a Holier Panda switch, by swapping the spring from the Halo True/Clear. I will probably be doing that for my Translucent Panda switch build, that is also on its production way.
