The U.S. military plans to drastically reduce the number of special operations forces deployed in Africa over the next three years. The move could reduce the number of commandos on the continent, many fighting terrorists, from about 1,200 to 700. Military sources told VOA, although pentagon officials have agreed on the general parameters of the reductions, nothing has been finalized. VOA's Salem Solomon spoke to Donald Bolduc, a former commander of special operations command Africa.
