On this episode we take a look at The 'TST' mod from The Tiger UK. This is a shroud mod that converts a base Seiko diver into a custom Tuna diver. I've always loved the iconic looks of the Seiko Tuna but the size and price, with the most affordable models being Quartz, has always kept me away, until now. I've always wanted a smaller sized automatic tuna, unfortunately Seiko doesn't currently fill that space with any offerings. There are other shrouded automatic Seikos in this price point but they lack refinement of the classic Tuna's of old. That's exactly what this mod from John at The Tiger UK does, it's a lower cost automatic alternative that delivers the look and feel of a Seiko Tuna without the compromises in design and/or movement choice. The end result, is a watch built on a platform that offers near endless customization, along with hassle-free maintenance. This particular watch is still unfinished and will complete it's transformation via Alex and Artifice HoroWorks, more than capable hands.
