The number of refugees fleeing into Uganda from the volatile Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) continues to rise. Many of them have camped in the South western district of Kisoro, which borders the DRC. Authorities remain vigilant to combat any security threats.There is also fear of disease outbreak.
