House Revival - Lord Bless Our Home
Acts 2: 42-43, 46-47 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
1. A United Family is a Blessed Family, Fight for Unity in the Home
Matt 10: 12-13 And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Peace – a state or rest, quietness, calmness, the absence of strife
Fellowship (koinonia) a brotherhood, unity brought about by the Holy Spirit, where he knits hearts he cements us to himself and a vision
Acts 2: 1-2 When Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord (being unanimous, having agreement, group unity, one mind) in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Matt 12: 25 Every house divided against itself will not stand.
Mat 7: 24-25 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
Js 3: 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist (strife), confusion and every evil thing are there.
Eph 4: 26-27 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.
Heb 12: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled (Don’t allow bitterness to tear down your home)
Refreshing, Blessing, Prosperity and Salvation are unity’s provision
Ps 133: 1-3 how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head Running down on the beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing Life forevermore.
2. Prayer Brings His Presence and His Presence Brings a House Blessing
Matt 21: 13 ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’
Matt 6: 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Heb 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Does God like to be at my house)
2 Sam 6: 11-12 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household. 12 Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.
