Task Achievement is the first category you are scored on in IELTS Writing Task 2.

The primary thing the examiner considers when evaluating your Task Achievement score is whether or not you answer ALL PARTS OF THE QUESTION.
So, if the question asks you if you agree or disagree, for example, you have to address both of those sides or opinions.
Even if you write an opinion essay, where you write about why you agree with one particular side in both body paragraphs, you still must say why some people hold the other opinion.
When in doubt, write an argument essay!
The second thing the examiner looks for is a clear position, and you can do this simply by choosing a side and expressing your opinion clearly and strongly.
